"I’m building a streamlined appointment system where two user types—Service Providers and Clients—interact seamlessly. Providers need their own dashboard to set availability, open or block time slots, and view incoming activity. Clients must be able to see those live slots and either book instantly (real-time) or send a booking request when confirmation is preferred.

Core flow
• Secure sign-up / login for both roles
• Provider calendar management with recurring or one-off availability, time-zone awareness, and quick edits
• Client-side slot discovery, real-time booking and request-to-book options, with automated email/SMS confirmations and reminders
• Status tracking (pending, confirmed, rescheduled, cancelled) visible to both parties in their dashboards
• Search and filter by date, service, or provider
• Responsive design so the experience is smooth on desktop and mobile browsers

Tech expectations
I’m comfortable with any modern stack—React or Vue for the front end, Node, Laravel, or Django for the API, plus a relational database—so feel free to lean on the tools you’re fastest with, as long as the final code is clean, documented, and easy for another developer to extend.

Deliverables

Acceptance criteria
