"My Laravel site uses the same responsive navigation across the Home, Product, Contact and every other page, but I need its mobile version to behave a little smarter. The menu must stay collapsed by default and open only when a visitor taps a dedicated button. Once opened, it should respect the current page state—so if a user moves to another page, the menu resets to closed until the button is clicked again.

You’ll update the Blade templates (or a master layout), add the necessary JavaScript or Vue/Alpine snippets, and wire everything so it works consistently across the entire project without breaking existing styling. Please keep the solution framework-agnostic on the front end; plain JS or lightweight Alpine is fine.
