"I already have a functional Python chess program and now need a polished prototype that demonstrates the core gameplay mechanics alongside a clear, intuitive user-facing layer. I’m flexible on whether that layer is GUI, CLI, or web: the priority is that a marker can run it easily and see pieces move, rules enforced, and turns tracked without digging into the code.

Alongside the prototype, my A-Level Computer Science coursework requires a well-structured development log. What I have now is a single “iteration” section; I need this split into multiple phases, each expanded with the sort of detail an examiner looks for: design intent up front, evidence of implementation, and proof of testing.

Here’s what I expect at the end:

• Prototype built from my existing source, showcasing gameplay mechanics and user-interface design.
• A development document broken into logical iterations (e.g. Planning, Initial Build, Refinement, Testing). Each phase must include:
– a concise design explanation,
– screenshots of key code segments,
– screenshots of any errors you encountered with a brief fix narrative,
– testing and debugging notes that prove the code was exercised.
