"I’m building a comprehensive online supermarket made of two pillars: a shopper-facing site where customers can browse items, place orders, and leave product reviews, and an internal portal that handles employee records and live stock levels. The codebase is greenfield, and I want to assemble talented developers to develop both areas in parallel.

Before assigning long-term milestones, I will run a brief skills assessment that should take no more than 20 minutes. It has two parts. First, a short set of questions covering web fundamentals, and past project experience. Second, a hands-on task: you will receive a repo with a React front end and a Node/Express API, adjust a couple of UI components to match a Figma reference, and hunt down an intentional bug that is breaking one backend endpoint.

Strong familiarity with modern JavaScript or TypeScript, Git, and clean commit practices is essential. Depth of professional experience is valued, but clear reasoning and solid fundamentals are just as important. Successful completion of the test leads directly to paid milestones that match your preference—front end, back end, or full stack—covering features such as checkout flow, review modules, role-based employee management, or stock management dashboards.
