"OSCAR's website—[login to view URL]—needs a dependable partner to keep it running smoothly while increasing its impact on our fundraising, partnerships, and brand-building, and steadily improving the experience of visitors to the site.

This engagement will be on an hourly, as-needed basis. The rate will be US$ 25/hour. Tasks and projects will be added to this job, with milestones to be agreed in writing, and hours and work to be tracked in the freelancer.com platform if it provides good functionality for this, and otherwise with a tracker tool we designate (if there is a cost for such a third-party tool, OSCAR will be responsible for the subscription).

Alongside the hands-on work, we would like you to train two OSCAR team members to handle content updates and any other changes that can be handled at their level of technical proficiency.

Core principles of working together:

• Make every reasonable effort to meet agreed deadlines. If you realize at any point that you may miss a deadline, please let us know immediately. The OSCAR team will likewise try hard to be on time in providing you guidance, reviews of work in progress, etc.
• Family and health are always the top priority.
• Over-communicate!
• Never hesitate to ask a question, especially if you feel you are not 100% clear on expectations, scope, timing, guidance about the task, etc. The only dumb question is one that goes unasked.
• Bring us your expert point of view. If you get guidance on from us but believe a different approach would best serve our objectives, let us know. Feel free to propose projects.

Tasks and deliverables:

• The engagement starts with a set of priority updates to be completed by end of day Dec 26, then a second and third set of updates to be completed by dates before January 2 to be mutually agreed. We will provide a googlesheet with changes to be made, plus and links to relevant files.
• 1-2 live, recorded training sessions, revising Fathom notes as needed for accuracy; then provide ad hoc follow up support as requested.
• 1 training OSCAR will provide to you and your brother, so you gain a familiarity with our mission, our technology, basics about our sector, etc.; and background materials to read "on the timeclock."
• Use googlesheet we provide to guide your work in maintenance and updates; maintain changelog documentation.
• Possibly, UI/UX mock-ups or wireframes (scope to be agreed).
• Possibly other deliverables and milestones, such as improving SEO,. may be added (scope to be agreed).

For each task, once the scope is clear, you will provide us an estimate of range of hours of work required to complete, and by what date/time, and commence work once we approve the plan.

All final changes will need to be made in our repos, to which you will have access, although for the first set of updates, it's OK to use the repos you have forked.
