"Authentic Japanese Manga Sequential Art — 1–2 Pages (Potential Ongoing Work)

I’m developing a comic and it is absolutely vital that the artist has experience creating authentic Japanese manga or anime-style sequential artwork. Initially, you will be doing one or two pages; if I like your work — including how you communicate and your speed — this could turn into ongoing collaboration.

Important note: I need someone who is comfortable reproducing provided material exactly as written, even when minimal interpretation is required.

What I need locked in:

• Sequential artwork that captures dynamic motion, expressive characters, and strong storytelling.
• Consistent character and environment designs across every page.
• Clean black-and-white line work with screentone or grayscale shading, print-ready at 600 dpi.
• Deliverables as layered PSD or Clip Studio files, plus flattened PNG/PDF for quick review.
• Reproduction of provided material exactly as written, even when minimal interpretation is required.

I have the core plot beats outlined but can provide a complete script or collaborate on storyboards and dialogue if you enjoy that part of the process.

Bids should reflect your standard rates. Unreasonable future price increases will result in termination of the project.

Submitting examples of other artists’ work as your own will result in your profile being reported.

Submitting AI-generated work will result in disqualification.

Important: I will need to see relevant work in manga or anime-style sequential art. If you have no relevant examples, you will not be considered.
