Overview: We require an Android developer to build a reliable, offline-first reminder application
specifically designed for elderly users. The app must support offline speech recognition (Hindi or
English) and offline TTS, large and accessible UI, and secure image/voice note storage.
Core Features:

1. Language Selection on First Launch - User chooses Hindi or English as their preferred language
on first app start. - Only the selected language's Vosk STT model and required TTS voices are
downloaded/stored to save space. - Language can be changed later in Settings (triggers download
of the other model if needed).

2. Offline Voice Interaction - STT: Vosk offline model in selected language for setting reminders by
voice. - TTS: Android built-in voice for speaking reminders aloud in the chosen language. - All
recognition and speech output must work offline.

3. Reminder Modes (User Selectable) 1. Text-Only (default): Small persistent notification with
reminder text. 2. Tone + Voice: 10-second attention tone ® loud TTS reading ® notification stays.

3. Future Mode: Call-style full-screen alert with Answer/Dismiss buttons.

4. Family Integration (Secure Remote Reminders) - Approve family members via PIN or QR. -
Unlimited approved members; elderly can remove any member anytime. - Family members can
send: - Single reminders - Bulk reminders (multiple times/messages in one entry) - Sender’s
name/number shown on each reminder in small text. - Remote reminders function offline after
delivery.

5. Bulk Reminder Creation - “+ Bulk Reminder” lets users add multiple time/message entries in one
go. - Each entry supports: - Time picker - Text field - Optional image - Optional voice note - Repeat
rules: daily, specific days, custom dates - Bulk sets grouped for easy edit/delete.

6. Secure Media Attachments - Attach image from camera or gallery for visual recognition. - Images
saved inside app’s private internal storage (remain even if deleted from gallery). - Optional
encryption (EncryptedFile AES-256). - Optional short voice note (5–10s) from sender, stored
securely.

7. Voice-Based Reminder Actions - When reminder triggers, short listening window for: - “Ho gaya”
/ “Done” ® marks as complete. - “Snooze” ® reschedules after configured delay.

8. Missed Reminder Auto-Repeat - Auto-repeat reminders if not acknowledged after 5–10 minutes.
- Number of repeats configurable.

9. Accessibility-First UI - Large-text dashboard showing upcoming and overdue reminders. - High
contrast colors, large touch targets, haptic feedback. - Elderly Mode Lock: Simplifies UI and locks
settings with PIN.

10. Additional Features - Low-battery alerts if critical reminders are due within next 3 hours. - Safety
Check-in mode: Alerts family if no acknowledgment is received. - Template save/load for recurring
reminder sets (e.g., daily medicine schedule).

Technical Requirements: - Platform: Android (Kotlin) minSdk 24+ target latest. - Offline STT: Vosk
(Hindi & English models). - Offline TTS: Android built-in voice. - Data Storage: Room DB for
