Project Overview
I’m building UpNorth Works, a local, trust-first marketplace app connecting homeowners with verified local service professionals (handyman, contractors, cleaners, etc.).
This is not a lead-selling platform.
The business model, pricing rules, trust system, and legal boundaries are already defined.
I’m hiring a developer to implement the product as specified, not redesign the business logic.
What You’ll Build
Reverse-auction marketplace (customers post jobs, pros bid)
Labor-only payments (materials are display-only)
Fixed platform fee logic with caps
Pro / Trusted Pro / Pro+ status system
Optional subscriptions with fee credits (no fee discounts)
Managed Projects (flat OR milestone-based, never both)
Analytics & event tracking
Feature flags + rollback support
Clear documentation will be provided. No guessing.
Required Skills
Full-stack development experience
Marketplace or platform experience (strongly preferred)
Payments experience (Stripe or similar)
Comfortable with rule-heavy logic and edge cases
Ability to follow a detailed specification exactly
