What I want you to do
• Remove any dead or duplicate code blocks.
• Optimise the remaining logic so the script loads and executes faster.
• Refactor and re-organise functions for clarity, adding concise comments where context is needed.

Deliverables
1. The revised [login to view URL] ready to drop back into the extension, fully lint-clean (ESLint/Prettier) and passing any existing build steps.
2. A short markdown changelog noting what was removed or refactored and why, so I can follow the decisions.
