"I’m building a delivery-focused Progressive Web App and need an experienced developer to wire up the service-worker layer so the whole ordering experience feels truly native. The core of the job is to make sure every order event triggers a reliable push notification, whether the user is actively browsing or completely offline.

Here’s what I need you to deliver:
• A production-ready service worker that precaches the essential screens (home, active order, order history) and falls back gracefully when the network drops.
• Real-time order notifications tied to our existing backend endpoints—think “Order received”, “Out for delivery”, “Delivered”. The moment the server sends the event, the user’s device should light up, even when the PWA is closed.
• Background data sync so an order status refreshes the next time connectivity is restored.
• Clear documentation on registering the service worker, subscribing users to notifications, and sending test payloads from cURL or Postman.

I’m leaning toward Workbox for caching strategies and Firebase Cloud Messaging for the push layer, but if you have a better toolchain for PWAs I’m open to it—as long as it stays standards-compliant and doesn’t lock us into a proprietary stack.
