Project description:
"I’m launching a hands-on R&D sprint around the hardware and software that drive modern lottery draws and self-service ticket kiosks. The mission starts with deep-dive research: we’ll study comparable machines in other countries to map out their operational mechanics, ticket-generation logic, and built-in security features.
Once we understand how the current systems tick, I want to reshape them—modifying the existing designs rather than cloning them—to achieve smoother workflows and stronger protection against fraud. If the blueprint proves sound, we’ll take the extra step of building a working prototype.
Because security is central to this project, the final phase involves a full penetration-testing exercise on the prototype to uncover and document any exploitable vulnerabilities. Successful delivery means I walk away with:
• A concise technical report summarising research findings on lottery and ticket machines
• Updated design documents and schematics that show the improvements you introduced
• A tested prototype (physical or simulated, depending on feasibility)
• A vulnerability assessment with reproducible proof-of-concept exploits and remediation advice
If you have a solid mix of hardware analysis, embedded development, and offensive security skills, let’s push the boundaries of how secure and efficient these machines can be." (client-provided description)
