Budget: Recommended by industry experts
Time to start: As soon as possible
Project description:
"I am looking for a developer to build a GPS-based multiplayer mobile game similar to [login to view URL], but played in the real world.
Players move in the real world and draw a trail on a map using GPS data. When they close a loop, the enclosed area is captured.
Main Features:
Two modes:
1. Without public transport – only walking/cycling counts as trail.
2. With public transport – vehicle movement also counts as trail.
Create and join lobbies (game sessions) with game settings.
Real-time area and trail updates for all players in a lobby.
Map display with polygons (captured areas) and polylines (active trail).
Loop-closing logic with size/density limits and opponent area subtraction.
Public transport lines from OpenStreetMap integrated for movement detection.
Technical Requirements:
Frontend: FlutterFlow (preferred, low-code) or Flutter
Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL + PostGIS) with Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript)
Maps: Google Maps or MapLibre integration in FlutterFlow
Realtime: Supabase Realtime Channels
OSM Import: Public transport lines imported into PostGIS (tram, train, subway, etc.)
Deliverables:
1. Fully functional FlutterFlow app with the described features.
2. Supabase database schema with tables, views, and security rules (RLS).
3. Edge Function for GPS position ingestion and loop-closing logic.
4. Map rendering of trails and territories with real-time updates.
5. Documentation for deployment and basic admin tasks.
Additional Information:
A full developer briefing with database schema, API specs, and code examples will be provided.
The game logic and server-side functions must be implemented in a secure, anti-cheat way." (client-provided description)
