"I have a straightforward concept for a head-to-head, turn-based sports challenge—picture the feel of a penalty kick shoot-out in FIFA, but stripped down to the essentials so we can move quickly. The very first milestone is a playable prototype that two people can pick up, understand in seconds, and battle through a match with simple, intuitive controls (touch, mouse, or controller input—whichever is easiest to implement first).

Art direction is intentionally light: the camera, animations, and field can be rough placeholders as long as the flow evokes that one-on-one tension. Think low-poly or even stylised 3D; fidelity comes later once the core loop feels right.

Key mechanics for this prototype
• Two players take alternating turns to attack or defend.
• Each turn resolves quickly—one action, clear outcome, immediate swap.
• Basic scorekeeping and a win condition (e.g., best of five shots).
• Single local build; online multiplayer can wait for a later phase.

Deliverables for this phase
1. A runnable build on a desktop platform (Unity, Godot, Unreal, or another engine you prefer).
2. Clean, well-commented source project so future iterations are painless.
3. Lightweight UI showing player turns and score.
4. Short read-me outlining controls and any setup steps.

The goalkeeper needs to follow one of those to stop the shot and the shooter needs to select one of those quickly to expect a goal.
