"My current parts-catalogue site needs a tune-up or upgrade so visitors can quickly look up components and send a request-for-quote without having to register. Here’s the workflow I’m aiming for:

• Admin side
– Upload a fresh parts list via a single CSV import.
– Wipe the previous upload so we never end up with duplicates (also need manual option to delete previous uploads)
– After import, I still need to add, edit, or remove individual records through a simple dashboard.

• Public side
– A clean keyword search bar that scans every field of the database and returns matching parts instantly (full and partial).
– From the results, visitors can select one or more items, hit “Request Quote,” and land on a form that shows their selections plus fields for name, company, email, phone, quantity, and free-text notes. No login barrier—the database stays completely open to browse.

Deliverables are a responsive website, an admin panel that handles the CSV workflow and record management, and the RFQ pipeline that emails or stores each enquiry for follow-up. Please include brief documentation so I can manage future uploads on my own.

Current website exists using outdated version of Drupal - open to suggestions on whether it would be easier to fix/upgrade or to rebuild.

All work completed for this project will be considered work-for-hire, and I retain full ownership, access rights, and intellectual property for the website, its code, assets, and any deliverables produced.
