"Project Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Lead / Systems Architect to take ownership of the final build, data reassembly, UX alignment, and launch of a multi-vendor spiritual marketplace and community platform.
This project requires more than technical skill.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely invested in the purpose and industry this platform serves.
The business supports:
• Health, wellness, and alternative practitioners
• Spiritual services and community-based offerings
• Independent lightworkers, healers, readers, and creators
• Ethical, people-first business models
To succeed in this role, you must:

This is not a simple development task. The platform has been through multiple contractors and now requires a senior technical leader who can:
• assess what truly exists,
• identify what is missing or broken,
• rebuild functionality where required,
• reassemble platform data and assets,
• and lead the project to a stable, production-ready launch.

Current State of the Platform
What Has Been Done
• AWS infrastructure exists (created by a previous contractor)
• Codebase has been rebuilt and secured in GitHub
• Updated UI has been applied to most core areas
• Current developer is frontend-focused and still involved
What Is Incomplete or Missing
• Admin dashboard
• Vendor / member dashboards
• Authentication & access control
• Payments, bookings, events, marketplace logic
• Automations (email, onboarding, notifications)
• Security hardening
• Mobile app rebuild (iOS)
Additional Critical Work Required
The platform does not currently contain its full operational data and assets. The following must be re-added, rebuilt, or assessed:
• Product catalogue (digital and physical store items)
• Vendor accounts (lightworkers and stallholders)
• Vendor services and service logic
• Availability, scheduling, and booking rules
• Vendor profile pages (UI + UX updates to match new branding)
• Platform content, resources, and supporting assets
• UX review across the entire platform to ensure usability and consistency
We do not yet know the full extent of what remains undone or broken — part of your role will be to identify gaps, oversights, and risks that may not yet be visible.

Your Role
You will act as the Technical Project Lead and Systems Owner, not just a developer.
Phase 1: System Audit & Assessment
• Meet with the current developer
• Audit AWS infrastructure, GitHub repositories, and deployments
• Review frontend vs backend completeness
• Assess missing data, assets, and platform logic
• Identify UX gaps and inconsistencies
• Produce a clear written report outlining:
o What exists
o What must be rebuilt
o What must be re-added
o What has been overlooked
o Risks and dependencies
o Recommended launch path
Phase 2: Project Ownership & Go-Live Planning
• Take ownership of technical delivery
• Create a strict, milestone-based project plan
• Define a realistic, enforceable go-live date
• Prioritise core functionality and revenue pathways
• Coordinate and oversee work with the current developer
• Step in directly where required to unblock, rebuild, or complete work
Phase 3: Data, Assets & UX Alignment
Oversee or execute:
• Re-adding products, vendors, services, and availability
• Vendor profile UI updates to match new branding
• UX consistency across all user journeys
Ensure the platform works cleanly for:
• Admins
• Vendors
• Customers
Phase 4: App & Expansion
• Lead rebuild of the mobile app (iOS first)
• Ensure app architecture aligns with the live platform
• Avoid duplication, tech debt, or rushed solutions
Phase 5: Ongoing Technical Ownership (Post-Launch)
• System maintenance and security
• Feature updates and improvements
• Technical support and monitoring
• Long-term platform stewardship

Required Skills & Experience
Essential
• Strong AWS experience (hosting, environments, security)
• GitHub-based workflows
• Web app architecture (auth, dashboards, roles, payments)
• Experience launching or rescuing production platforms
• Ability to assess unknown scope and define solutions
• Confidence overseeing and coordinating other developers
• Clear communication with non-technical founders
Highly Desirable
• Experience with:
o Marketplaces
o Bookings and appointment systems
o Events platforms
o Multi-vendor systems
o Community or membership platforms
• UX awareness (not just code)
• Mobile app experience (iOS)
• Familiarity with wellness, spiritual, or service-based industries

Working Relationships
You will work closely with:
• Business owners
• Operations and Business Support
• Current developer (initially, for system knowledge transfer)
Your role is to lead delivery, not to undermine existing contributors.

Payment Structure
• Initial project:
• Post-launch: Weekly ongoing retainer
o Incentive: Percentage of platform sales/commissions once live
