"Phase 1 of our digital investment product begins with a secure, Shopify-based website that feels native to a modern fintech brand. The site will operate as an e-commerce storefront where users can subscribe to our investment offering, so clean UI, friction-less checkout and strict data protection are non-negotiable.

Core scope
• User account system with enforced two-factor authentication (email/SMS or app-based)
• Shopping basket style workflow that lets prospects choose a subscription tier, complete payment and land inside their personal dashboard
• Real-time integration with our chosen third-party KYC / AML API
• Lightweight admin area for monitoring sign-ups, KYC status, subscription payments and issuing manual overrides or refunds
• Reusable, well-documented Shopify theme and liquid code that can later plug into a React-Native mobile app
• Secure handling of sensitive user data (PCI-DSS, GDPR best practice, encrypted storage where applicable)

Acceptance criteria
1. User can register, pass KYC and purchase a subscription in one seamless flow.
2. 2FA must be triggered on every login and after any profile change.
3. Admin can view audit logs, export KYC results and manage subscription status without touching code.
4. Checkout flow meets Shopify Payments requirements and passes test transactions.
5. Code handed over in a private Git repo with README and environment variables templated.

An NDA is required before sharing full API docs and wireframes. Successful delivery of Phase 1 positions us to continue together on the iOS & Android apps planned for Phase 2, so well-structured, maintainable code is paramount." (client-provided description)
