"Seeking Experienced Grant Writer – Real Estate & Community Development (Ocean/Monmouth County, NJ)

Our nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced grant writer located in or familiar with Ocean and Monmouth County, New Jersey, who specializes in real estate, housing, and development projects.

About Us:
We are a mission-driven nonprofit focused on rehabilitating distressed homes and buildings to improve neighborhoods and provide safe, affordable housing. Our work directly impacts underserved communities, and we are looking to expand our funding base through state, federal, and foundation grants.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience writing successful grant proposals for real estate development, affordable housing, and/or community revitalization projects.

Understands the local funding landscape, including NJ-based foundations, government programs, and housing authorities.

Can assist with identifying relevant grant opportunities, writing strong proposals, and managing submission timelines.

Is collaborative, organized, and familiar with nonprofit development and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record securing funding from HUD, NJ DCA, HOME/LIHTC programs, or related sources.

Experience with 501(c)(3) nonprofits working in housing, community development, or historic preservation.

Familiarity with Ocean and Monmouth County housing and redevelopment priorities.
