"We are developing a distributed machine management system that connects multiple devices to a central cloud backend via AWS IoT Core. Each device captures operational events and forwards normalized JSON messages to the cloud.

We now require a development partner to implement:
1. Cloud Service Layer (AWS IoT Core, Node.js backend, PostgreSQL/S3 storage)
2. Application Layer (Web/Desktop portal & Mobile apps)

Scope of Work

A. Cloud Service Layer (AWS IoT Core + Node.js)
• AWS IoT Core provisioning with X.509 device certificates and topic-level access control.
• MQTT topic structure for events, commands, and responses.
• IoT Rules Engine:
• Ingest events → AWS Lambda (JSON Schema validation) → store in RDS/S3; send to DLQ on error.
• Heartbeat monitoring in CloudWatch.
• Node.js backend (Express):
• JWT authentication, CORS restrictions, rate limiting.
• APIs for operator/device/group management.
• Real-time dashboard data (REST/WebSocket).
• Command publishing to IoT Core (AWS SDK v3).
• OTA update workflow (S3, secure download, hash verification, rollback).
• PostgreSQL schema per operator, event indexing/partitioning, lifecycle export to S3.
• Security: TLS 1.2+, WAF/API Gateway, IAM least privilege, logging/monitoring.

B. Application Layer (Web, Mobile, Desktop)
• Operator Portal (React or equivalent):
• Real-time Dashboard, Groups, Device Detail, History, Alerts.
• Technician Portal (React or equivalent):
• Global device view; remote commands (restart device, resend events, OTA ping, status query).
• Reporting:
• Automated PDF generation (Node.js + Puppeteer or Lambda).
• Scheduled daily/weekly/monthly via EventBridge; email delivery via SES.
• Mobile App (iOS/Android – Flutter or React Native preferred):
• Secure login, status views, push notifications, offline-ready technician tools.
• Desktop App (Electron or equivalent):
• Same capabilities as web portal; auto-update mechanism.
