"I’m upgrading an existing Swift 5.0 app and need a drop-in component that makes image rotation feel exactly like the native Photos experience. The current codebase already does some basic orientation work, but it breaks down on intermediate angles and causes the view to “jump”—especially when switching quickly between portrait and landscape.

Here’s what I’m after: a clean, modular Swift solution (iOS 15+ on both iPhone and iPad) that keeps the image’s aspect ratio intact, scales smoothly, and never distorts or jitters, no matter how quickly the device is rotated. The animation should remain buttery-fluid in both directions, handling all intermediate states so the transition looks completely seamless to the user (EXACTLY like the native iOS Photos app).

I only need this for still images, so you can focus every optimization there. When it’s ready I’d like:

• Swift file(s) containing the rotation logic, ready to drop straight into my project
• concise integration notes so I know exactly where to hook in—my partial orientation code can be swapped out or refactored as you see fit
• a lightweight demo project that I can compile and run to verify the effect in isolation
