"The product pages on my website are already styled and connected to the database, but the final price still isn’t showing because the calculation logic is missing. I simply need the base price of each item pulled from the database, added together when multiple items are in the cart, and displayed as the product-total and cart-total figures—no discounts, taxes, shipping costs, or other surcharges are involved right now.

The stack is standard HTML/CSS with a small PHP back-end and a touch of vanilla JavaScript for dynamic updates; you are free to keep everything in that stack as long as the end result is clean, well-commented, and easy for me to tweak later.

Deliverables
• Code that performs the base-price addition both on the product page (single and variable products) and in the cart.
• Clear in-file comments and a short README explaining where each function lives so I can maintain it myself.
• Confirmation that totals stay accurate when quantities change, items are removed, or the cart is emptied.
