Project description:
"I need a lightweight reservation-management module that keeps my hotel’s room inventory perfectly in sync across all front-desk and back-office screens. The core requirement is real-time availability tracking: the moment a room is booked, cancelled, or extended, its status must update instantly for every user so we avoid double-bookings.

Scope
• Build a web-based interface where staff can create, modify, and cancel reservations.
• Integrate a live occupancy calendar or grid that refreshes automatically without page reloads.
• Handle basic guest details, dates, room type selection, and special notes.
• Provide simple search and filter tools so reception can locate reservations quickly.

Tech preferences
I am open on the stack, but I lean toward common hotel-tech staples such as PHP/Laravel or Node.js with a MySQL/PostgreSQL backend. Real-time behaviour can be delivered with WebSockets, Pusher, or similar. Use Bootstrap or another responsive framework so the screens are tablet-friendly at the desk.

Data integrity
When two clerks attempt to book the same room, the second one should receive an immediate conflict notice. No silent overwrites. Timestamp every change and retain an audit trail.

Deliverable
A working web application deployed to my test server with seed data, admin credentials, and a brief setup guide. Once the demo shows flawless real-time availability updates for at least 100 simultaneous reservations, the project is done.

Future phases may add online self-service booking and automated email confirmations, so design the database with that growth in mind." (client-provided description)
