"I'm looking for an experienced developer to create a messaging channel similar to WhatsApp. The channel should be available on both Android and iOS platforms.

User authentication is necessary, so users will need to log in or sign up.

and also want my Channel App to display the number of followers (i.e., users who have registered in the app and follow my channel). Since this is a one-channel app (just you as the poster), we can treat any logged-in user as a follower.

We’ll store a list of users who “follow” the channel (i.e., they register and optionally tap a “Follow” button).

✅ Option A: Automatic Following

Every user who registers is automatically a follower (simpler, less UI).

✅ Store each user in a "followers" collection.

✅ Display the [login to view URL]() in my feed page (MainFeedActivity).

✅ Option B: Manual Follow Button

Show a "Follow" button on the home screen (once per user), and only count those who tapped follow.
