7. Search & Real-Time Access
Ultra-fast real-time search by:
o Patient Name
o Case ID
o Accession Number
o Modality
o Date
o Doctor
o Center Name
Instant results (no delays).
8. Backend / Admin Settings
Toggle / checkbox control for enabling/disabling features:
o Role permissions
o Local storage vs cloud
o Auto-backup frequency
o Report sharing (WhatsApp/email on/off)
o Emergency tag alerts on/off
9. Case Upload Application (Diagnostic Center Uploader)
To ensure smooth and secure case uploads from diagnostic centers:
1. Standalone Installer (.exe)
o A lightweight Windows-based application must be provided in .exe format.
o The application should be installable by simply running the file (auto-setup).
2. Automatic Configuration
o The client should automatically detect:
Port number
IP address
Server mapping
o No manual technical setup should be required at the diagnostic center.
3. Login & Security
o User must log in with credentials (User ID & Password).
o Each User ID is mapped to a specific Company / Diagnostic Center.
o Dashboard will automatically filter and show only cases uploaded from that center.
4. Upload Functionality
o User can select DICOM files/folders and upload directly.
o Metadata (patient name, ID, modality, study date, etc.) should be auto-extracted from DICOM headers.
o Status of upload (Pending, In-progress, Completed) must be shown.
5. Integration with PACS
o Once uploaded, cases should instantly appear on the PACS web dashboard.
o Assigned Admin/Assignor can immediately see and process cases.
6. Alternative Upload (Web)
o In addition to the .exe uploader, the PACS web dashboard must also support direct case upload (drag & drop files / select from system).
o This ensures redundancy if the standalone app fails.
10. Security
End-to-end encryption (images & reports).
Strict role-based access control.
Audit logs (who opened, reported, verified, printed, shared).
Executive Summary (Updated)
This PACS system is a fully web-based, secure, and scalable Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) designed for diagnostic centers, hospitals, and teleradiology providers. The system includes a hierarchical role-based access model (Super Admin, Admin, Assignor, Verifier, Radiologist, Physician/Referral Doctor, Billing, Typist, Dashboard Viewer, Receptionist, Group ID Manager).
A key component of the system is a Diagnostic Center Case Upload Application (.exe installer) that allows diagnostic centers to easily install and upload cases without complex setup. The application will auto-detect server configurations (port, IP, connection) and securely push cases to the central PACS. Each diagnostic center user logs in with unique credentials, ensuring center-wise case segregation.
Additionally, the system supports direct web-based uploads via the PACS dashboard, providing redundancy and flexibility.
Core features include:
Advanced DICOM Viewer (2D, MPR, 3D with all essential tools).
Comprehensive Reporting Panel with structured templates, voice typing, and AI-assisted transcription.
Real-time Search with near-zero latency.
Case Lifecycle Management (Upload → Assign → Report → Verify → Share).
Integrated Communication (chat between radiologist and diagnostic center).
Cloud Backup with Security & Local Storage option.
Role-Based Dashboards with detailed case metadata and TAT tracking.
This system ensures high performance, security, and ease of adoption across multiple diagnostic centers while being future-ready for AI integrations and compliance needs." (client-provided description)
