Project description:
"My Laravel application on AWS (EC2 for compute, S3 for assets, RDS for the database) stopped loading after recent changes. The code lives in a private GitHub repo, and I need the entire stack rolled back to how it looked on a specific date. No custom configs have to be preserved beyond the defaults already in the repo and on the servers.
Here’s the flow I have in mind:
• Identify the last stable commit that matches the target date.
• Create a safe rollback branch, revert the code, and push it to GitHub.
• Redeploy to the existing EC2 instances, pointing to the same S3 buckets and RDS instance, and verify the site loads without errors.
• Hand over a brief summary of what was changed—commit hash, commands used, and any follow-up steps I should know.
If you’re comfortable with Git bisect/revert, Laravel artisan commands, and AWS CLI or CodeDeploy workflows, this task should be straightforward. The job is complete once the site is accessible again and the rollback steps are documented for future reference." (client-provided description)
