"I run a NodeMediaServer instance (Node.js) to power live streaming. Everything looks perfect at first, but after a few hours the stream stalls—viewers lose the feed even though the server hasn’t crashed and bandwidth is fine. It’s not a simple connection glitch or quality dip; some other long-running bug is surfacing and forcing me to restart the service.

I need someone who knows NodeMediaServer inside out to:

• reproduce the problem under a sustained load
• trace the root cause (memory leak, event-loop block, mis-handled RTMP/HLS segment—whatever it is)
• supply a clean, well-commented fix or configuration change

Acceptance criteria
• A continuous test stream runs at least eight hours without interruption
• CPU/memory stay within normal bounds; no growing handles or file descriptors
• A brief report explains the fault and the exact code or config updates applied

You’ll have SSH access to a staging server plus the current codebase on GitHub. If additional monitoring tools (e.g., Node-inspector, pm2, ffprobe) are useful, feel free to integrate them—just document what you do so I can reproduce the setup." (client-provided description)
