"I need a lightweight, standalone Windows desktop utility that lets me point to any folder, enter a wildcard such as *NOR_20*.pdf, and press a single button. The program should:

• Search only that folder for every PDF that matches the pattern.
• Merge the matched files— in the order they are discovered— into one consolidated PDF.
• Create a ZIP archive that contains all of those original PDFs plus the merged file itself.
• Show progress and a brief “finished” message with a link to open the output location.

Please keep the interface strictly native: standard Windows title bar, buttons, check-boxes and progress bar—no custom skins or flashy themes. The finished product must run on Windows 10/11 as a single, self-contained EXE (no separate installer or external dependencies).

Deliverables
• Compiled executable.
• Full source code with build instructions.
• Short README explaining prerequisites, usage flow and any command-line switches.

Acceptance test: I’ll direct the app at a folder containing several hundred PDFs, confirm the merged file opens correctly, and verify the ZIP includes every expected document.
