Description:
We are looking for an experienced developer/freelancer to build a block-based coding platform for school students. The goal is to help students learn programming concepts, improve logical thinking, and gain hands-on experience with hardware.
The platform can be based on the Google Blockly framework (or similar open-source alternatives), with a customized interface designed for educational use.
Key Requirements:
Build a web-based block coding platform (similar to Blockly/Scratch).
Allow students to visually create code blocks for basic programming concepts (loops, conditions, variables, etc.).
Enable direct integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, and NodeMCU. Students should be able to connect their devices and upload the generated code directly from the platform.
Ensure a smooth and error-free code upload process to the devices.
User-friendly interface, optimized for school students (ages 10–18).
Option to expand in the future for more hardware and advanced coding features.
Preferred Skills:
Strong experience with Google Blockly, Scratch, or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or related technologies.
Experience with Arduino IDE integration, ESP32, and IoT platforms.
Prior work in STEM education tools, EdTech platforms, or robotics is a plus.
