"I need a large-scale mod for Paradox’s game Victoria 3 that injects fresh gameplay depth through an entirely new in-game sidebar tab. This tab will operate alongside the existing Production, Politics, Military, etc., but introduce additional, tightly-integrated mechanics covering:
• Resource management
• Diplomatic actions
• Technology advancements
• …and other interconnected systems that make sense once the core three are in place
The sidebar must feel native - matching Clausewitz/Jomini UI conventions, hotkeys, tooltip style, and localization standards - while remaining compatible with future patches.
Core scope
• Design and script the new GUI panel, icons, and tooltip flow.
• Build the back-end game rules and triggers that drive the Resource management, Diplomatic actions, and Technology advancements systems.
• Ensure seamless save-game integration and stability in single-player and multiplayer.
• Package everything into a ready-to-upload mod folder with clear install instructions and commented source files.
Acceptance criteria
1. Sidebar loads without errors on the current live build.
2. Each mechanic is functional, balanced for default game settings, and surfaced through tooltips/events.
3. No crash, infinite loop, or broken localization after five in-game years of testing.
4. Delivery includes a short PDF or markdown guide explaining file structure, key scripts, and mod hooks for future expansion.
