"I need a small-footprint website that lets registered users upload and download documents—primarily PDFs and Word files—through a clean, responsive interface. Account creation must be mandatory before any file activity; guests can browse a landing page but nothing more until they sign up and verify their email.

Core requirements
• User workflows: sign-up/verification, secure login, password reset, profile management
• File handling: drag-and-drop upload, progress bar, server-side virus scan, storage in a structured directory or object store, and a simple search/filter to find previously uploaded documents
• Permissions: each user sees only their own files, while I retain an admin dashboard to view, delete, or download everything, set size limits, and pull usage statistics
• Tech stack: open to PHP/Laravel, Node/Express, Django, or a modern equivalent—just outline why you prefer it, how you’ll handle security (SSL, hashed passwords, CSRF), and where files live (local disk vs. AWS S3, etc.)
• Deployment: staging link during development and hand-over scripts or Docker files so I can redeploy later on my VPS
