"I’m building a lightweight application that plugs directly into the AliExpress API so I can fetch live product information instead of keying it in manually. Once the data arrives—dimensions, net weight, and category—the app must instantly:

• calculate each item’s volume and dimensional weight,
• keep a running log of the actual weight,
• combine those figures to show an accurate shipping cost per item, per carton, and per consolidated order.

Multiple product categories are part of my catalogue, so the logic has to switch rules (or price tables) automatically when the category changes.

I’m flexible on the tech stack provided the final solution is clean, well-documented code plus a quick setup guide that lets me drop in my own AliExpress API credentials and start testing immediately. A short demo with sample data will be the acceptance point." (client-provided description)
