About the Project
We are partnering with a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI) research to help build more advanced multilingual AI systems. One key part of this effort involves collecting naturally occurring text in various languages—directly from real-world environments.
As part of this initiative, we are launching the Korean Language Image Collection Project, focused on gathering authentic, high-quality images featuring Korean-language text from across South Korea. These images will be used to train AI systems to better recognize and understand written Korean in daily contexts.
This is a freelance, remote opportunity for iPhone users currently living in South Korea. You can work at your own pace, contribute to the development of next-generation AI, and receive compensation for every valid image set submitted.

What You’ll Be Capturing (Text Must Be in Korean)
Participants will be asked to take original photos of naturally occurring Korean text in a variety of everyday settings. Examples of acceptable image content include:
Public signage such as posters, billboards, or street signs


Menus, flyers, brochures, and product packaging


Labels, food containers, or cosmetic packaging with Korean text


Handwritten content such as notes, reminders, or to-do lists


Instruction manuals or printed booklets featuring Korean writing



Important Guidelines
All photos must be original and captured by you


Screenshots or internet images are not permitted


Each photo must be clear, well-lit, properly framed, and include legible Korean text


Duplicate, blurry, or low-quality submissions will be rejected



Requirements
Own an iPhone (any model)


Currently reside in South Korea


Comfortable using your smartphone camera to take high-resolution, in-focus photos


Ability to follow detailed submission instructions



Compensation
$150 USD for every 500 valid, approved images
