Project description:
"I’m building a new wearable that includes touch sensors and need a companion mobile app that can talk to the device in real time, interpret the sensor events, and turn them into clear user-facing reports. The core of the job is the end-to-end link: firmware or BLE protocol on the wearable, reliable data exchange with the app, and a clean UI that focuses on user interaction rather than pure health or activity metrics.
You’ll help me:
• Define and implement the communication layer (BLE or other low-power wireless) so every touch event reaches the phone with minimal latency
• Structure and store the incoming data, then transform it into concise, readable reports the user can review or export
• Design an intuitive interaction flow that shows live feedback from the wearable and historical summaries
• Validate the full pipeline on both sides—wearable and app—with clear, repeatable test cases and a short demo video/prototype build
Android, iOS or cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native are all acceptable as long as they keep latency low and battery usage minimal. If you are comfortable writing or tweaking embedded code to ensure the sensor packets are formatted correctly, that’s a plus.
Deliverables are the running app (with source), documented communication protocol, and a brief technical handover so my in-house team can extend the project later. Let me know which stack you prefer and share a past example where you linked a mobile app to custom hardware—touch sensors or similar would be ideal." (client-provided description)
