"I already have a custom-built site running smoothly with manual language and currency selectors, but I want that choice to happen for the visitor, not by the visitor. The first signal should be the browser’s own settings: read the Accept-Language header, map it to one of our supported locales, and instantly load the matching language file as well as the corresponding currency format and exchange rate.

If a browser locale isn’t in our catalogue, the manual selector can stay visible, and I’m open to falling back to an IP-based guess, but only as a secondary measure. GPS look-ups are off the table.

You’ll be working directly in the existing codebase (no WordPress or Shopify layers to navigate). I’ll provide a staging branch, current locale files, and the price-conversion utilities we already use.

Deliverables
• A concise, well-documented module that detects locale on the first page load, switches both language and currency site-wide, and stores the choice in a cookie/localStorage for return visits.
• A simple config (JSON or similar) where I can add or edit language-to-currency pairs.
• Quick setup notes plus a short demo (screens or video) proving it works across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Please keep performance tight—standard web APIs (Accept-Language, Intl) or a lightweight helper library are perfect. Once merged on staging and signed off, I’ll roll it live." (client-provided description)
