"My existing blog-style news website needs to be translated into a polished, production-ready Android application. The site’s structure, screens, and visual language are already locked in—I’ll supply the full design files (Figma) along with color, typography, and icon assets so you can work directly in Android Studio without guessing.

Core scope
• Re-create every public article, category, and search screen natively (no simple WebView wrappers).
• Add Firebase push notifications so readers receive alerts when a new post goes live or when I trigger a manual broadcast.
• Build a lightweight user system: email or social sign-in, profile page, and the ability to bookmark or “like” articles. The website itself doesn’t yet have accounts, so the database side will be brand-new; you’re free to propose Firebase Auth/Firestore or another straightforward option.

Acceptance criteria
– Smooth scrolling lists, image loading, and offline caching for recently read articles.
– Push notifications arrive reliably on Android 8+.
– Login/registration flow tested on at least three device sizes.
– Final hand-off includes complete Kotlin/Jetpack source, signed AAB ready for Google Play, and concise setup documentation.
