Project description:
"[login to view URL] is running on [login to view URL] and performs well on the home page, yet property-detail routes load far too slowly. Current telemetry shows TTFB around 2.1 s, Lighthouse scores under 0.25, and API calls exceeding 4 MB. I need the site refactored so that these pages feel instant on both mobile and desktop.
Primary work
• Code-split and lazy-load heavyweight modules—maps are the first component to defer, though carousels and filter widgets can follow once the pattern is in place.
• Shrink API responses through selective fields, pagination, and enabling gzip/br.
• Introduce smarter caching layers for APIs and static assets.
• Implement a real image strategy: correct sizing, next-gen formats, lazy load, and targeted pre-loading for above-the-fold hero images.
• Address Core Web Vitals—especially LCP, TBT, and CLS—so scores reach the green zone.
Database layer
Logs reveal multiple expensive calls on every SSR request. I’m open to query optimization and indexing improvements to eliminate the worst offenders before any caching is added.
Acceptance target
– Reduce property-page TTFB to <300 ms.
– Achieve 80+ Lighthouse on mobile and desktop for key pages.
– Keep API responses under 500 kB and serve them compressed.
You’ll have direct access to the GitHub repository and staging environment; once the above benchmarks are met we can discuss ongoing collaboration for Version 2." (client-provided description)
