"I’m rolling out a multi-camera PTZ security network and need a complete software-plus-setup solution that lets me see every feed in real time, move each camera remotely, and speak through the on-board speakers while I listen in. Motion-based alerts are also a must so I’m notified the moment something happens. The exact number of cameras may grow, so the platform has to scale gracefully beyond the usual 8-channel limit.

You can build from scratch or extend an existing ONVIF-friendly stack, as long as the result gives me:

• A browser or desktop dashboard that tiles all live streams, shows PTZ presets, and supports drag-to-pan / zoom or joystick input
• Two-way audio that stays in sync with video, ideally via WebRTC or a similarly low-latency protocol
• Configurable motion-detection zones with email, SMS, or push notifications
• Secure remote access (VPN, SSL, or similar) that I can hand off to staff without exposing the whole LAN
• Straightforward camera onboarding so I can add more units later without re-engineering the setup
