Project description:
"I’ve moved my store to Squarespace’s latest design structure and the custom code that powers my product image layout has stopped working. The change is strictly design-related, but every script and style rule I wrote still points to the old `.Product*` selectors and legacy data-attributes.
Here’s what I need:
• Audit the existing css
• Replace all outdated class names, IDs, and data-* attributes with the new ones Squarespace 7.1 now renders.
• Preserve the exact behaviour of the current layout (it isn’t a grid, carousel, or single image—my setup is a custom hybrid), so the gallery displays, zooms, and switches images just as before.
• Test across desktop and mobile product pages to confirm nothing else in the design/layout is affected.
You’ll be working in the built-in Code Injection and Custom CSS panels, so no server access is required—just solid DOM-inspection skills, familiarity with Squarespace’s new markup conventions, and clean, well-commented code.
Deliver the updated snippets and a brief change log so I can drop them straight into the site. Once the live pages look and behave exactly like the original concept, the job is done." (client-provided description)
