Project description:
"I need Void Client, my Electron-based Minecraft launcher, to move from offline-only play to full Microsoft account authentication today. I already have the Azure application registration set up; your job is to wire the OAuth2 flow into the client so Java Edition users on Windows, macOS and Linux can sign in, prove ownership and immediately join online servers.
Flow & UX
• Trigger a small login popup window when the player clicks “Sign In”.
• Present Microsoft’s official OAuth screen, followed by a simple Captcha verification step before the token is accepted.
• Once authenticated, return the access token, refresh token and user profile to the main process and persist them securely (Keytar or a similar cross-platform store is fine).
Core tasks
1. Integrate Microsoft/Xbox Live/XSTS authentication chain for Java Edition.
2. Implement the popup UI and Captcha check, matching the client’s current styling.
3. Cache and silently refresh tokens so users stay logged in across sessions.
4. Fall back gracefully to existing offline mode when a login is skipped or fails.
5. Provide a short README outlining any new environment variables, npm packages or build steps.
6. IF this is all complete, make sure YOU KNOW MINECRAFT!! I need players to be able to JOIN servers after microsoft auth allowing all the features of my client and minecraft.
Same-day turnaround is essential; I’m aiming for a clean pull request or zipped build within 24 hours of hire. My budget for this quick task is in the $10-30 range, so please bid accordingly and message me right after placing your bid if you can start immediately." (client-provided description)
