"I need an Android mobile application that focuses squarely on patient management, with appointment scheduling as the first-priority feature. The goal is to let clinic staff create, edit, and track appointments quickly from a phone or tablet, removing the bottlenecks of paper diaries or desktop-only systems. I’m not tied to any existing healthcare software, so you’re free to design a clean architecture without worrying about third-party integrations at this stage.

Core scope
• Patient profiles: basic demographics and contact details stored securely on-device or in a lightweight cloud back-end—whichever you recommend for speed and HIPAA-friendly data handling.
• Appointment scheduler: calendar view, time-slot selection, automatic conflict checking, and push or SMS reminders.
• Search & filter: fast lookup by patient name, date, or clinician.
• Simple analytics: daily appointment counts and no-show flags to help front-desk planning.

Tech notes
Kotlin in Android Studio is preferred for long-term maintainability, but Java is acceptable if you can justify it. Feel free to suggest SQLite, Room, or Firebase for data storage, and standard Android Jetpack components for UI/UX consistency.

Deliverables
1. Compilable source code with README covering build steps and environment.
2. Signed release APK (or AAB) ready for Google Play submission.
3. Brief user guide that shows staff how to add patients and book appointments.
4. One round of post-delivery bug fixes based on real-world testing.

Acceptance criteria
