We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate freelance game development team or individual to create a 3D sci-fi action-adventure game for PC and 4th gen+ consoles, inspired by arcade-style vehicle shooters with expanded open-world exploration, resource management, and dynamic cosmic events. The game features a richly detailed universe with seamless transitions between vehicle-based combat, on-foot exploration, and interplanetary travel. Players will engage in fast-paced shooting, mine resources, interact with AI-driven NPCs, and navigate a dynamic environment shaped by catastrophic astronomical events. The project requires expertise in a high-performance game engine (CryEngine or Unigine Engine), advanced physics simulations, procedural generation, and polished visuals to deliver an immersive experience.


Scope and Key Features:

Core Gameplay: Develop a hybrid gameplay system combining vehicle-based combat (arcade-style shooting with customizable vehicles) and on-foot mechanics (mining, environmental interactions, FPS, 3rd person and NPC encounters). Players can exit vehicles to explore surfaces, deploy tools, and engage with dynamic AI and PVP enemies.

World Design: Create a large-scale, procedurally generated sci-fi universe with multiple planets (including a primary planet ~1.6x Earth’s size) and asteroid fields. Implement dynamic terrain changes driven by periodic collision events, with new topography and resources emerging.

Space Mechanics: Build seamless navigation systems for surface flight, orbital ascents, scripted interplanetary “lanes” (fast-travel routes), and freeform deep-space exploration. Physics-based orbital dynamics and asteroid interactions are critical.

Cosmic Events: Integrate scripted astronomical phenomena (e.g., stellar evolution phases, debris impacts) that alter gameplay, affecting environments, resource availability, and difficulty. Events occur on a cyclical timeline (e.g., monthly triggers over a compressed “year”).
AI and NPCs: Design intelligent AI for enemies and neutral NPCs, with pathfinding for ambushes, resource guarding, and environmental interactions. NPCs should have faction-based behaviors.

Multiplayer: shared server, PvP zones and PvP prohibited but still enabled zone (bounty acquired for PvP in prohibited zones), enabling players to collaborate in combat, mining, or base-building.
