"My React Native mobile app talks to a custom PHP backend and the image-upload path has started misbehaving. Users tap to add a photo—sometimes nothing reaches the server, other times the file arrives but never renders in the UI. I need a full-stack eye on both ends: the React Native code that builds the multipart request and the PHP controller that stores the file and writes its reference to MySQL.

The job is straightforward but thorough: trace the failure, repair it, and prove that uploads display correctly on current iOS and Android builds. Please work directly in the existing Git repo, keep the endpoints secure (content-type checks, file-size limits, proper permissions), and leave concise comments so I can follow the changes.
