Project description:
"have a simple MIT App Inventor project called TalkToMe. It listens when the user taps a button, recognizes speech, and speaks back using Text-to-Speech.

Right now it has some issues:

The listening time is too short (it cuts off before processing speech).

Only a few basic commands are included.

Screen2 is empty.

No monetization yet.


I want a developer to upgrade and complete the project so it is polished, functional, and ready for publishing on the Google Play Store.

Tasks:

1. Fix speech recognition timing so it doesn’t cut off early.


2. Improve Text-to-Speech voice (set natural pitch & speed).


3. Add 5–8 useful commands (greetings, jokes, “what’s your name?”, “repeat after me”).


4. Add error handling (“I didn’t catch that, try again”).


5. Improve UI (better button states, larger text, simple background, app icon).


6. Use Screen2 for:

Settings (adjust voice pitch/speed, auto-listen toggle).

About / Instructions page.



7. AdMob Integration (must be included):

Banner ad on Screen1.

Interstitial ad after 5–10 uses.



8. Deliver updated .aia and .apk files, with notes on what was changed.


9. (Optional, if budget allows) Prepare app for Play Store publishing (permissions, versioning, assets).



Deliverables:

Completed .aia (with AdMob extension included).

Working .apk with ads in test mode.

Documentation of changes and features.
