Project description:
"I already have a working desktop-style Java program packaged as a single JAR, that runs on Windows. The goal is to turn that codebase into a browser-based application so users can access the same functionality online without installing anything locally.
Core requirements
• Keep all existing features intact, including the current password-protected areas, and migrate any embedded logic or resources from the JAR to the new web layer.
• Add a modern user-registration and login flow tied into the same access-control rules.
• Trigger email notifications at the key events we will define together (e.g. successful registration, password reset).
• Deliver clean, well-structured JSF pages backed by managed beans; the final code should deploy smoothly on a standard servlet container such as Apache Tomcat or a Jakarta EE server.
• Provide a short hand-off document: build script, database schema (if introduced), and step-by-step deployment instructions.
Send me a detailed project proposal that walks through your technical approach, milestone plan, and estimated timeline. Including links to similar JSF conversions you have handled is welcome, but the depth and clarity of the proposal will guide my decision." (client-provided description)
