"Project Overview

We have a React Native mobile app that was originally built about three years ago and is now outdated and non-functional in critical areas. The app was previously live on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, but due to SDK requirement changes and lack of updates, it has been flagged and removed from Google Play. Our objective is to update, rebuild, and resubmit the app to ensure it functions smoothly on current iOS and Android devices.

Current Problems (in order of priority)

1. Android Build Issues
- Android SDK, Gradle, and related dependencies need to be updated.
- We are currently unable to produce a build (AAB) that can be submitted to the Google Play Store.

2. iOS Build Issues
- The iOS build is also out of date and relies on older packages.
- While there is still a usable version live in the App Store for now, the app does not meet Apple’s current standards and cannot be resubmitted without updates.

3. QR Code Scanning Crash on iOS
- Entering camera mode for QR code scanning crashes the app on newer iPhones due to outdated camera/QR scanning plugins.

Responsibilities
- Upgrade the app to the latest stable React Native version.
- Update Gradle, SDKs, CocoaPods, and other build dependencies.
- Update or replace outdated libraries (React Navigation, Firebase, QR scanning).
- Ensure the app builds successfully for both Google Play Store (AAB) and Apple App Store (IPA) submissions.
- Fix the QR code scanning feature so it works reliably on modern iOS devices.
- Deliver a stable, production-ready app build.

Requirements
- Strong experience in React Native upgrades and dependency management.
- Hands-on expertise with Android build tools (Gradle, SDK, AAB packaging).
- Solid knowledge of iOS build processes (Xcode, CocoaPods, App Store submission).
- Experience fixing or replacing outdated camera/QR scanning packages.
- Proven track record of publishing or updating apps on both stores.

Deliverables
- A fully functional, up-to-date React Native app.
- Successful builds for both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Working QR code scanning feature on new iPhones.
