Project description:
"I have a live ride-hailing platform built on a custom PHP backend (Laravel-style structure, no framework upgrades yet) and a Kotlin-based Android rider/driver app. A recent round of code changes has introduced several production-blocking bugs and I need an experienced full-stack developer who can jump in immediately, locate the root causes, and deploy stable fixes without disrupting users already on the road.
You will be working inside a Git-controlled codebase that also exposes a REST/JSON API to the mobile app. I can grant you direct access to the staging server plus crash logs from Firebase, New Relic traces, and the current error tracker. While I will guide you through the business logic, I’ll rely on your own debugging workflow, unit/integration testing, and clean commit history to move rapidly.
Deliverables
• Analyse logs and replicate every critical crash or malfunction on staging
• Patch PHP endpoints (auth, payments, trip lifecycle) and corresponding Kotlin client calls so responses remain consistent and version-safe
• Write or update automated tests for each fix
• Push to staging for my QA sign-off, then deploy to production with zero downtime using our rolling-release script
• Provide a short hand-over note summarising each issue, steps taken, and files touched
Acceptance criteria: each patched flow (login, trip request, driver match, payment capture, trip completion) must run end-to-end five times consecutively on both staging and production without error, verified through logs and test rides.
If you have a track record of firefighting on live PHP/Kotlin stacks and can start within hours, let’s talk and get these riders moving smoothly again." (client-provided description)
