"We are looking for a developer to help with a small customization task in a legacy game project. This is a focused job and should not take much time for an experienced professional. It's an easy task.


The project is an MMORPG originally built in Flash and later ported to Adobe AIR.

We have access to the project’s legacy files in .swf format.

Our goal is to update a specific numeric parameter inside the application (e.g., replacing 82.5 with a new value).

Approach Options:

File-level customization: Updating the SWF or associated resources so that the desired parameter reflects correctly in the running application.

Runtime configuration: Implementing a lightweight script or debugging method to adjust the parameter while the application is running.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with Flash/ActionScript projects, SWF decompiling/editing, or

Familiarity with runtime debugging, scripting, or application parameter adjustments.

Ability to recommend the most stable, efficient approach and implement it.

We just need to find a way to load our modified swf into the game.

Scope & Commitment:

This is a one-time, short-term task.

Expected to be quick for someone experienced in legacy Flash/AIR applications.
