Project Overview:

We’re building a web-based Amazon chatbot MVP that helps users find great deals, track savings, and upgrade for premium features via a smooth, interactive chat experience.


Role Summary:

You will implement the dynamic chat interface logic that connects user inputs and GPT responses with backend APIs, making the chatbot feel natural, fast, and engaging.


Key Responsibilities:

* Parse and display GPT/OpenAI responses dynamically in chat bubbles
* Implement chat UI logic: typing indicators, loading states, scrolling
* Add interactive buttons below chat messages (e.g., “Track this”, “Show more”)
* Trigger backend events on button clicks (tracking, upsells, referrals)
* Handle error and retry states smoothly
* Collaborate with frontend UI dev and backend API dev for seamless integration
* Ensure responsive, fast-loading chat experience on web and mobile

## Required Skills:

* Strong experience with React (or similar frontend frameworks)
* Real-time UI state management and asynchronous data handling
* Familiarity with OpenAI or GPT API integration
* Ability to build interactive chat interfaces with buttons and modals
* Good understanding of REST API communication and security


## Bonus Skills:

* Experience building ecommerce or product recommendation chatbots
* Familiarity with Stripe frontend integration for upsell triggers
* Knowledge of viral growth mechanics (referrals, sharing flows)

## Budget & Timeline:

* \$1,000 AUD upfront + \$200 AUD per week ongoing for milestone-based development
