"I am looking for an experienced app developer (iOS/Android, ideally cross-platform) to build a mobile application that gamifies eating out. The goal is to combine restaurant discovery, social sharing, and gamification into one engaging platform. The app should allow users to find great restaurants, earn rewards for eating at participating venues, and compete on leaderboards to become the ultimate foodie.
The core concept merges elements of Google Maps (restaurant discovery), Instagram (social feed), and Duolingo (gamification and levels) into a single, user-friendly platform.

Core Features
Restaurant Discovery (Interactive Map)
Map view showing participating restaurants.
Search/filter by cuisine, distance, price range, or keywords (e.g. “ramen” or “vegan”).
Restaurant pages showing details, menus, ratings, and a user-generated “visual menu” of uploaded meal photos/videos.

Check-in & Upload System
At participating restaurants, users scan a QR code to check in.
After check-in, they upload a photo/video of their meal.
Uploaded content is linked to the restaurant’s page and adds to the communal photo bank for future users.


Social Media Functionality
User profiles (bio, follower/following system).
A social feed (similar to Instagram) showing what friends and followed users are eating/where they are dining.
Ability to like, comment, and share posts.


Gamification & Rewards
Users earn points for check-ins, uploads, and engagement.
