"I have a production-level user-management system built in CodeIgniter 3 that now shows its age. I need the entire project migrated to CodeIgniter 4 with performance as the guiding metric. The current codebase is cleanly structured and under Git, yet slow page renders and controller bottlenecks have become apparent as user numbers grow.

Key points I care about
• A like-for-like feature set—users must not notice anything except faster response times.
• Lean, CI4-native controllers, models, and routing so the framework itself delivers speed gains.
• Proper usage of CI4’s new caching, autoloading, and entity layers where they make sense.
• Thorough performance benchmarking before and after the upgrade; page load times are my primary KPI.
• Smooth database migration scripts; no data loss is acceptable.
• Clear upgrade documentation so I can reproduce the setup on staging or roll back if ever needed.

You will work in a dedicated branch on my private repo, submit pull requests for review, and finish with a clean, PSR-12-compliant codebase that passes the existing test suite.
